Hello all, To be quite frank, i'm not sure if this question should be under this topic or a networking topic. Anyhow, here is the scenario. About a week ago all of our Windows 98 machines quit logging onto our network Win NT 4. Make sure there is a Local Account that is active, you know the password and is an administrator.

Joining a domain by default disables local admin accounts so leaving the domain can leave you with no working admin account. I have been caught out by this. The message would indicate a domain user has shared a local folder either as a domain policy or individually. Click on Start, rt click Computer and select Manage.

I'm trying to do following: 1. System needs to be removed from domain. You may need Client for Microsoft Networks loaded for other reasons,but it does not have to be the default client. Do NOT restart your computer when prompted. If you have a password set you will need to enter it every time Windows starts. In the Change Windows Password dialog box enter your existing password and leave the other two boxes empty.
